Dear GlobalGiving community, what’s up ?
It seemed important to us to shake up our habits and to offer you something different. If we talk to you very regularly about our solidarity actions and our projects, it now seems important to us to talk a little more about ourselves. Who are we? How does PSF work?
Our Foundation was founded in 2007 in France by Columbian exchange students in the city of Clermont-Ferrand. Proyectar Sin Fronteras was born from the friendship between two Colombian students in France, Luis Salamanca and Juan Forero, and their desire to positively impact vulnerable communities with their knowledge and experience in agroecology.
After launching a pilot project in 2007, PSF has evolved and structured its actions. Thus, the Sembrando Confianza programme was born, through which we aim to reduce the economic vulnerability and improve the environmental sustainability of its participants by using agroecology as a tool for social transformation.
PSF's work is anchored in the United Nations 2030 Agenda by contributing to 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Each PSF project aims to support the construction and consolidation of the social and economic fabric in marginalized communities. We work with women farmers, we organise food distributions and workshops in poor neighbourhoods (including environmental education and menstrual and sexual education). Our offices are located in Bogota, Colombia.
All our projects are carried out in Colombia and more precisely in the Bogota region. Our team is composed of Colombian employees and young French volunteers in civic service. Some of our employees are in charge of the implementation of the projects and their financing and others are responsible for the implementation of our weekly market: every Thursday, we deliver to our customers fresh organic products produced by our partner farmers.
We are pleased to be able to share our projects with you and we hope that they will catch your attention. Please feel free to read our previous reports and contact us if you have any questions!
Once again, we want to thank our GlobalGiving Community and all of our donors for their support and help.
Stay tuned for our next reports and actions on the field!
