PLAY 4 All is a Sports Leadership Academy (SLAC) initiative designed to make organized sport safe, affordable, and accessible to children and youth across Ghana, regardless of economic background, location, gender, or ability. Through Community Clubs, Camps, and Tournaments & Leagues, the programme provides opportunities for children to discover sport, develop skills and character, and compete in a safe and structured environment.
Across Ghana, access to organized youth sport remains limited, especially for children from low-income and underserved communities. Costs for registration, uniforms, transport, coaching, and facilities create major barriers. Girls, children with disabilities, and youth in rural and peri-urban areas face additional challenges. Many grassroots programmes also struggle to survive after initial funding ends. PLAY 4 All addresses both gaps by creating affordable, inclusive, and sustainable pathways.
PLAY 4 All makes organized sport affordable and accessible by supporting coaching, equipment, uniforms, and facility costs through donors, sponsors, and grants. It brings structured sport closer to underserved communities, promotes inclusion for girls and children with disabilities, and provides a pathway through clubs, camps, tournaments, and leagues for children to play, develop, compete, and thrive.
PLAY 4 All will create lasting access to organized sport for children across Ghana, especially those from underserved communities. By providing consistent coaching and competition, the programme will develop healthier, more confident, disciplined, and skilled young people. It will also strengthen grassroots sports structures, increase inclusion, create pathways for sporting talent, and build sustainable community programmes that can continue benefiting children for years to come.
