Report
The activities of the "Let's Add Colors to Our Country" Campaign are continuing as planned. Among the focuses of the Campaign, is also the planting of trees along the road lanes in the country, which are seen to be polluted with garbage. By planting trees in road lanes, we aim to leave no free space where it can be contaminated with garbage, as well as reduce the impact of air pollution from cars and acoustic pollution from vehicle noise.
So, on 5th of December 2020, in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure, we started the greening of the road lane of the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway. This activity resulted in the planting of about 150 trees. Part of this activity was also the (then) Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Arban Abrashi. Tree planting activities along the road lanes will continue, extending across the country.
Planting activities took place also in Suhareka in January 2021, where about 100 trees were planted. Participants in the activity were also the mayor and other municipal officials. So, almost all municipalities in the country are slowly becoming part of the Campaign.
