Planting a 1.8 Trees is a major forest restoration campaign with a goal of mobilising everyone to plant a million trees throughout Kosovo. Trees provide so many benefits to our everyday lives. They filter clean air, provide fresh drinking water, help curb climate change, and create homes for thousands of species of plants and animals. Planting a Million Trees can help save the Kosovo environment from deforestation. It's a big number, but we know we can do it with help of donations
Kosovo forests are among the natural assets targeted to be destroyed with the aim of getting a profit. Their continuous destruction occurs in the presence of institutions that are responsible for their protection. Being subject to economic crime, manifested mainly through illegal cutting and often intentional fire-setting, forests have been destroyed to the extent irreversible for a long period of time. There is a severe shortage of trees in urban areas, it is everywhere in Kosovo.
