help build a school to educate 20 blind students

   Greetings from Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust to one and all. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one who support us in this project through their valueable finance, guidance and wellwishers.

   The state of Karnataka is in a festive mood due to the different Indian festivals. This causes lack of workers and the calamity in the state of Kerala has its impact on our state as well. This doesn’t hinder our progress in any way. We are gradually inching forward in a steady pace. The pillars of the building proudly stands above the ground. It has been cured to stand the building for years to come. Foundation for the walls is in progress. The materials used is of the best quality available in the market. For example quick on bricks with a Japanese technology is used for the walls. A rough estimate given by our engineer is

following are the estimates for Divya Jyothi Building of about 10,000SFT.

Steel: 25 Tons

Cement (Other than premix concrete for slabs) : 1200 bags

Premix Concrete for slabs: Rs 10 Lakhs

This requirement is being fulfilled by the generosity of our kindhearted benefactors. The last quarter did see progress in the work. We at Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust thank every one who are investing their time and hard earned money on this project from the bottom of our hearts and would like to encourage more people to come forward and join hands with us in promoting this noble cause.

To begin with I on behalf of Divya Jyothi would like to thank all our donors and well wishers for the support you all are giving us to realise our dream.

 Blindness is not a curse but a condition. A blind person is no lesser than a sighted person. It is only that we do the things others do in a different way. Infact we at Divya Jyothi believe blindness is never a hurdle in doing anything.

  At Divya Jyothi we strive to empower the blind to be independ and shoulder social responsibility along side their sighted counterparts.

  In our endeavour we face a huge challange of providing hostel facility for the trainees who come from the remotest villages of karnataka. We decided to take on this challange by building our own building which will house more than 100 trainees. As a first step we procured land for the proposed building from MUDA (Mysore Urban Development Authority). The bhoomi pooja (ground breaking ceremony) took place on the 18th of Apr 2018 immediately after the plan for the proposed building made by the architect was approved by the concerned authorities.

  Work began on a very brisk note with leveling and excavation of the land for the foundation. The pillars will stand up from as below as 7 feet to support the structure. Bad whether and lack of labour on rainy days slowed down the work to a certain extent but not our determination. With kindhearted doners and well wishers we plan to occupy the building at the earliest possible. We need the prayers and well wishes of one and all to succeed in this project.

  Without the support of our donors and well wishers we wouldn't realise this dream project. We intend to train 100000 blind boys and girls by 2020. This Building is a necessity to reach that target. Once again thanking one and all for your kind support and looking forward to continued support in placing a brick to foundation of education of blind.
