Hello everyone!
I hope you are doing well!
We want you to know how well we are doing! As we have mentioned before EcoEnergyFinance is a social enterprise that brings low cost solar energy to the rural working poor in Pakistan. By selling the solar products as a social enterprise instead of giving them away, we still hope to become sustainable by mid-2015, leveraging your donations into a movement that continues to tackle energy poverty for decades.
A quick update:
This past quarter, we were chosen by the University of Maryland and their Center for Social Value Creation to act as a centerpiece organization for a class and study on social enterprise business analysis. The master’s program students, along with guidance from EcoEnergy Finance, produced a number of reports for our firm to utilize regarding cost structure, sales and marketing, inventory management, and compensation structure. We were delighted with the findings and intend to implement a number of suggestions to improve our business process.
We have been selling our lanterns at an alarming rate! We have recently implemented a pay as you go system that allows customers to pay in monthly installments. This has been met with a high demand for our products. We have increased our customer base but have had some issues in specific regions with the collection of funds. We hope to change this once we start to offer a new high tech system that allows us to remotely shut down the system if we do not obtain payment. We are currently waiting for our first small shipment of these pay as you go systems and hope to have them out for sale within the next quarter. In order to keep up with the demand for this new product, however, we need to raise the capital to make orders.
All of this can be possible because of your philanthropic donation, which will enable us to purchase pay as you go lanterns that are in high demand!. Thank you!
