EcoEnergy Finance has been awarded a grant by the GSMA Foundation to conduct a pilot of PAYG and "mobile money" technologies, as they believe that this is an important factor in making energy more accessible. To do this, we need to raise $17000 of our own to pay for certain costs. We need your help to do this!
Affordability is the most significant barrier to more people obtaining clean light and electricity in Pakistan. EcoEnergyFinance has built significant knowledge over the past three years about how to bring affordable energy to the rural poor.
We believe Pay-As-You-Go ("PAYG") technologies provide a way to break down the upfront cost into affordable payments, thereby increasing the number of people who can access the lighting and electricity.
With this program, we will be able to reach out to help rural poor have access to clean and inexpensive energy. The users will not only be able to pay over time and avoid large upfront costs, but they will be able to build their credit and save for other purchases.
