Meet Peace (not real name) she is 15 years old, she takes care of her other 2 siblings and their mum, their dad abandoned family and married another woman in another district in central Uganda after infecting their mum with HIV, 2 of the children are infected too, our project is supporting them to access basic care, the mum is I'll and cannot do any work, Peace has to bake bricks to earn some money for food, her bricks are not yet ready yet we don't want them to starve without food.
Peace's family is the most at risk and vulnerable family in the village as they completely have nothing to sustain the family yet they are HIV positive, they are not adhering to treatment because they lack food to boost their immunity so they do not take their medication on time
This project will provide monthly food supplies, transport to ease transportation to the hospital for medication as well as provide beddings plus an income generating project of their choice
This family will be enabled to start their own business, their immunity as well as family income will be boosted, they will be linked to other projects for counseling and economic empowerment
