We designated August as World Patorun Month (WPM)
— a global initiative to spread the spirit of Patorun around the world.
During the month, Patorun events were held in Japan and nine other countries, engaging approximately 20,000 participants in total.
Summer in Japan carries various risks, including heatstroke, torrential rain disasters, and accidents near bodies of water.
In Japan, August brings a prolonged heatwave of disaster-level intensity. The number of people suffering from heatstroke continues to rise year after year, making it essential to establish systems for quickly identifying those affected.
On the final day of the World Athletics Championships, we also co-hosted a “Stardust Picking” event in Tokyo together with On!
