LIFE is strengthening its workforce development model to help individuals in Deep East Texas move beyond training and toward sustainable employment. We recognize that preparing for a career requires more than access to instruction. Learners need practical training tools, consistent progress tracking, and support with the everyday barriers that can prevent them from completing training or keeping a job.
To address these needs, we have invested in Interplay Learning to expand access to online, career-focused technical training and GoSprout to support learner tracking and program accountability. These investments strengthen our ability to support participants throughout their training journey and monitor their progress toward workforce readiness.
We have also invested in wraparound services that help learners remain engaged when financial pressures threaten their progress. Food and gas cards provide practical assistance with essential needs and transportation, helping participants focus on training and employment goals.
Through the LIFE Rydz platform and program, we are further developing transportation support to help participants access training and employment opportunities and improve job retention. With the black car service, clients can now obtain transportation grants and vehicle maintenance grants to support continued mobilty for sustained employment.
Preparing Learners for What Comes Next
Our goal is to help individuals earn while they learn, gain relevant skills, and prepare for entry into a Registered Apprenticeship Program. We are working to strengthen the connections between foundational education, technical training, work-based learning, and employment opportunities so participants can progress toward careers with greater stability and advancement potential.
How You Can Help
We are seeking support to expand access to training, strengthen wraparound services, and develop the partnerships and work-based learning opportunities necessary to help participants transition into employment and Registered Apprenticeship pathways.
Every investment helps remove a barrier between a learner and a career. By investing in the complete pathway—not training alone—we can help more Deep East Texas residents build skills, access opportunity, and work toward lasting economic mobility.
