It’s my pleasure to share an update on how your contributions are impacting life here at Casa Hogar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which is currently home to 22 full-time residents between the ages of 6 and 17.
Previous Residents — All Grown Up
I’m often asked whether we stay in touch with former residents. The answer is a resounding yes — and January gave us beautiful reminders of why that matters.
I had the opportunity to visit Brayan in La Paz. He is in a healthy, long-term relationship built on mutual support and companionship. Seeing him grounded, stable, and planning for his future was deeply moving. It was an emotional reunion and a powerful testament to the long-term impact of consistency, guidance, and love.
Itzel, who now lives in Mexico City, came to visit Casa Hogar and proudly introduced our staff to her son, Daniel. She is gainfully employed and in a stable, healthy relationship. Watching her confidently step into motherhood and adulthood is something that fills us with pride. And yes — she still enjoys Casa Hogar’s cooking! Daniel is bright, healthy, and full of life.
Success looks different for each child. For us, success means resilience, determination, the ability to set goals, form healthy relationships, and establish strong boundaries. Seeing Brayan and Itzel building lives rooted in stability and self-worth reminds us that the seeds planted years ago continue to bear fruit.
Fishing Adventure
A group of our residents had the unforgettable experience of heading out on the water aboard a Pisces Fleet vessel. Along the beautiful coastline, they tried their hand at fishing, spotted whales, and even encountered a playful sea lion who briefly joined their journey. It was a day of wonder, connection, and new memories
Creative Expression
Our residents also enjoyed an outdoor painting class, where they brought to life the image of a Spanish galleon arriving at the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas. These creative moments offer more than artistic growth—they build confidence, imagination, and joy.
On behalf of our children and teens, thank you for the love and hope you bring to Casa Hogar. We are moving through 2026 with strength and optimism, and we look forward to sharing more good news with you in the months ahead.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Jayson Stirrup
