Project Report | Aug 1, 2010
Thank you

By Organism Staff | Empowering the world through collaboration.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to look at our project!

We are all very excited and grateful for the opportunity to present our project on Global Giving, and we would like to thank: Global Giving, The World Bank, UrgentEvoke, and Jane McGonigal for making this opportunity possible. It is difficult to believe that, only 10 weeks ago, we were a small cadre of thinkers with a big idea, and that we have made it to a platform where our concept can grow to reality.

We were invited to join Global Giving in June, and the past month has been very exciting. We have spent a great deal of time considering how best to contextualize our project, and introduce Organism on the Global Giving platform. We have also enjoyed the honor of working with Dan Morris, an Executive at Electronic Arts, who is helping our group to develop long term goals, meet successful organizations and individuals whom we can learn from, as well as being a day to day mentor as we work to develop Organism.

After consulting with a few programming specialists we have determined that the best course of action is to recruit one or two talented HTML/Javascript programmers who are capable of developing both server side and client side content. From there we can prototype our test design, and determine which features and details best enhance the collaborative intent and platform performance. During this process we will also seek to establish beneficial working relationships with other individuals, groups, and sponsoring partners who are also working to make mass collaboration on the web a reality. If you know of any groups or individuals who you think would be interested in working or meeting with us we would love the opportunity to meet them.

We welcome any comments, praise or criticism as long as it is constructive. Thank you for your interest in this project, we appreciate your support!
