Organic Vegetable growing, & fruit tree growing

A total of 40 women participated in vegetable production activities. The women planted eggplants, tomatoes and cabbages and received practical guidance on land preparation, planting, crop management and harvesting.

The project also continued promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices and household livelihood improvement. Women were encouraged to work together, save income from agricultural activities and reinvest part of their earnings into their households and small businesses.

The project has made progress in the following areas:

• 40 women actively participated in vegetable production.
• Eggplants, tomatoes and cabbages were planted and managed by participating women.
• Women gained practical knowledge in vegetable production and crop management.
• The participating women began generating income from agricultural activities.
• The project strengthened cooperation among women through group-based activities.
• The activities contributed to improved household food production and livelihood opportunities.

However, the project encountered the July -August drought. Rains have started raining .
