The project involves planting vegetables organically, and fruit seedlings. The community members are to be supplied with vegetable seedlings from our seedbeds. fruit seedlings from our nursery bed. The project aims to give out 4,000,000 vegetable seedlings & 10,000,000 fruit seedlings to the community people. The vegetables shall be for home consumption and income generation . The fruit trees provide fruits for consumption, income generation through selling fruits & carbon dioxide absorption
Deforestation has been practiced for many years, this has led to diverse effects of Global warming. The afforestation drives have not been embraced by the community people because they dont see value of planting non fruit trees. The project wishes to give the community people fruit tree seedlings which attracts the attention of the community people because of fruits they expect to harvest for consumption & income generation Many cases of Mul-nutrition & Poverty are in our community.
The vegetables are to provide food to the people and generate income through the selling of the surplus vegetables. The inclusion of vegetables on the diet of the community people hence solving the problem of malnutrition. The fruit seedlings will attract the attention of the community people, hence growing of many trees that will curb carbon from the Artmosphere. Hence solving the problem of Global warming.
