Organic Farming Training plans to provide low cost fertilizers, pesticides etc, obtained from plant and animal products to 50 farmers from 10 villages in Madurai District, including the boys and girls
There are currently more than 1,00,000 farmers are living in our target villages. Although the state government is working diligently in these villages to encourage farming cultivation, due to the usage of chemical fertilizers in the past the land lost its fertility, and is demanding larger quantities of fertilizers/ costlier pesticides, the farmers are due to increased cost of farming, getting financial support from money lenders who are exploiting them, and forcing few to commit suicide.
SHEPHERD provides organic farming trainings/ awareness to replace costly chemical fertilizers by locally made Natural and Organic Fertilizers/Pesticides it reduces cost of production we will arrange Bank loan with low rate of interest/insurance.
The project will educate 500 farmers to do organic cultivation to rise out of poverty/money lender, which will provide for their families health and well-being.cosumers are willing to pay higher price for organic food.Improved soil nutrients-Poison-free-Food Tastes Better-Disease and Pest Resistance-Lower Input Costs-Added Value-More Profit.SHEPHERD WILL ARRANGE BANK LOAN WITH SUBSIDY/LOW RATE OF INTEREST/INSURANCE to the beneficiaries.
