This project will build a library and teach 250 primary school children in Western Zambia to read and write.
Can you imagine being in 5th grade and not being able to read? What about 9th grade? Can you imagine sitting for your 12th grade exams and reading at the 5th grade level? Over half of school going children are reading below their grade level. Poor educational standards mean the educational system cannot adequately provde for the needs of the students.
OperationREAD will teach 250 underpriviledged children to read helping to ensure they have the the skill to build meaningful lives. It will also provide books to 10 schools benefiting an additional 10,000 students.
