We published, with your help, our booklet “Your guide to Digital Defenders – Privacy for kids!“ to teach kids about protect their privacy in October 2016. Since then, more than 50 000 copies have been downloaded in eight different languages, and we've distributed printed copies of them in schools in several countries.
We'll be be finalising our project here in Global Giving, but we hope you'll continue to support our work for better privacy for all.
You can also continue to follow the project by signing up for our newsletter EDRi-gram and by following us on Twitter and Facebook!
Even if the GlobalGiving project will be soon closed, we'll continue our work to have more translations of the guide available, and to get it printed and distributed in schools in as many countries as possible. Currently, we are working on the French and Catalan translations. If you would like to participate in these efforts, please contact us at brussels@edri.org!

Today, we have finally published the booklet "Your guide to Digital Defenders vs. Data Intruders - Privacy for kids"!

In the parallel universe of the booklet, a team of superheroes (the Digital Defenders) fights a group of villains (the Data Intruders). They were created by German comic artist and illustrator Gregor Sedlag.

For now, the booklet is available only in English, but we have already started to coordinate translations to make it available in as many languages as possible. The booklet is published under a creative commons (CC-BY) license and can be freely downloaded and re-distributed. If you want to help with translations, or if you want to print it and distribute it at schools please contact us!

There have been, again, some unexpected delays.

Good news: It's because we've tweaked the layout of the booklet, and it's now waaay cooler!

In the coming weeks, we'll finally have our comic book style booklet, with privacy super heroes "Digital Defenders" fighting super villains "Data Intruders", to help us keep ourselves safe online.

The text in English is finalised, and we're now looking for translations. Please let us know if you are interested, or if you know someone who would be!

A lot of things are going on right now when it comes to online privacy: new rules are being drafted and negotiated at the European level. During the autumn, we'll be posting on our website about privacy, what it actually means, and how you can protect your freedoms online. You can check out our blogposts at edri.org, and follow us in Twitter @edri.

We'll drop you a message again as soon as the "Digital Defenders" vs. "Data Intruders" booklet is out. Thanks again for hanging on!
