We serve the educational needs of the beneficiary population of the Connecting Online project through educational tools for Public Schools that need to learn online and we extend support to more teachers, families and children, through the dissemination of digital resources and virtual learning spaces.
Our country faces challenges, among them classes and education based only on tools and face-to-face learning, the traditional methodology is fine and necessary, but we must prioritize the training of children, teachers and their families so that they receive online training from their homes taking advantage of the fact that in Costa Rica the use of cell phones, the internet, testing our training and that in situations like COVID-19, although schools remain closed, online education continues.
This project aims to enable virtual spaces to serve teachers and principals, such as the following: 1- Virtual workshops for Preschool 2- Personalized coaching for Preschool Teachers 3- Primary virtual workshop 4- Primary Modeling Coaching 5- Webinar open to the public on ICT 6- Supporting teaching material They disseminate resources to children and families: 1- Experiments for students 2- Leadership missions to do at home 3- Videos for Children's Families
We have reached 80 public schools that will have the techniques, materials and knowledge to train online, educating more than 700 teachers, more than 6,300 children and their families. In the long term, we want to drop out of school, improve the promotions of children who graduate from school and feel motivated to continue studying, stay in high school and look for job opportunities that advance their community with knowledge and innovative ideas.
