We believe that every child has the power to be a hero. Through our #OneBobHero campaign, children across Kenya have joined the movement and are proving that protecting their peers isn’t just an adult’s responsibility—it’s a movement where young people can take the lead.

Children Protecting Children Through Theatre

In Kisumu, Nairobi, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Kiambu, children are using the power of Participatory Education Theatre to educate their peers on safety, abuse prevention, and how to seek help when in distress. These interactive performances create safe spaces where children can openly discuss real-life challenges and learn about Child Helpline 116, a free and confidential service that ensures no child suffers in silence.

Through drama, music, and storytelling, children are not just learning how to protect themselves—they are becoming agents of change in their communities. These sessions are led by children, for children, making the messages more relatable and impactful.

Children and Young People Giving Back—One “Bob” (Kenya Shilling) at a Time

Beyond advocacy, children and young people are also stepping up as financial contributors to the cause. Braeside School alumni and students from Braeburn Mombasa International School have demonstrated their commitment to child protection by contributing towards the mental wellness of children in need. Many children and young people have donated their pocket money, proving that even small contributions can make a big difference in ensuring that every child gets the help and support they need.

A Movement of Hope and Solidarity

The #OneBobHero campaign is a powerful reminder that heroism isn’t about age—it’s about action. By educating each other, advocating for child protection, and making financial contributions, children across Kenya are demonstrating solidarity, empathy, and leadership in safeguarding their peers.

Be a Hero – Every Bob Counts!

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps change a child's life. You, too, can be part of this movement. Whether you’re a child, a parent, a teacher, or simply someone who believes in protecting children, you can donate whatever you have in support of the mental wellness of children in need.
