Quarterly Report - 01: One Tree for One Child #64562
Thank you for supporting the One Tree for One Child initiative in Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi District, Bangladesh. Your contribution is helping us build a greener and sustainable future by planting trees and fostering environmental awareness among children and local communities.
In this quarter, the project has successfully distributed 52 trees to 52 children, with each child receiving 1 tree. These trees are not only a gift for the children but also a step toward nurturing environmental responsibility and sustainability in the community.
Our implementation strategy focuses on:
Training local communities on tree plantation and care.
Organizing tree planting events within Bagha Upazila.
Fostering environmental awareness among children.
The TYAGI Volunteer Team ( ) of Global Community Organization actively participated in all stages of this project, assisting in tree planting, community engagement, and raising awareness among children and families. Their dedication has been instrumental in ensuring the success of the initiative.
Here is a glimpse of the critical work supported this quarter:
Tree Distribution to Children – 52 children each received 1 tree, instilling a sense of ownership, responsibility, and connection with nature.
Community Training and Awareness – Local families, especially women, were trained on how to plant and care for trees to ensure their healthy growth.
Tree Planting Events – Organized events engaged children, community members, and the TYAGI Volunteer Team, promoting hands-on learning and environmental stewardship.
This achievement represents a critical step toward our vision of a greener, more sustainable, and prosperous Bagha Upazila. By planting these trees and empowering the community, alongside the tireless support of the TYAGI Volunteers, we are fostering long-term environmental awareness and resilience for generations to come.
With gratitude,
Global Community Organization (GCO)
