Quarterly Report - 02: One Tree for One Child #64562

Thank you for your continued support of the One Tree for One Child initiative in Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi District, Bangladesh. Through your generous contribution, we are steadily advancing our mission of creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future while fostering environmental awareness among children and local communities.
As part of our commitment to transparency and timely reporting, this second quarterly report highlights the continued progress of the project and demonstrates the ongoing implementation of activities initiated during the previous reporting period. The project continues to achieve its objectives through consistent community engagement, tree plantation activities, and environmental education programs.
Project Progress This Quarter
During this reporting period, the project successfully distributed 134 trees to 134 children, ensuring that each participating child received one tree. By encouraging children to plant and care for their own trees, the initiative continues to promote environmental responsibility, ownership, and long-term stewardship of natural resources.
Key Activities Implemented
1. Tree Distribution to Children
A total of 134 children received 134 trees.
Children were encouraged to actively participate in planting and caring for their trees.
The activity strengthened children's connection with nature and enhanced their understanding of environmental conservation.
2. Community Training and Capacity Building
Local community members, particularly women and caregivers, participated in awareness and training sessions.
Participants received practical guidance on tree plantation techniques, maintenance, and long-term care.
The training aimed to improve tree survival rates and maximize environmental impact.
3. Environmental Awareness and Community Engagement
Awareness sessions were conducted to highlight the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices.
Community members were encouraged to take an active role in preserving local ecosystems.
Children and families participated in discussions focused on climate resilience and environmental responsibility.
4. Tree Planting Events
Community-based tree planting events were organized across Bagha Upazila.
These activities provided hands-on learning opportunities for children and strengthened community participation in environmental conservation efforts.
Volunteer Engagement
The TYAGI Volunteer Team of the Global Community Organization continued to play a vital role in the implementation of this project. Throughout the quarter, volunteers actively supported:
Tree distribution activities.
Community awareness and engagement sessions.
Tree planting events.
Follow-up support and monitoring of planted trees.
Their dedication and commitment have significantly contributed to the successful continuation of project activities and community participation.
Impact and Outlook
