A few years ago, many children in the slums of Kisumu and especially in Manyatta slums were hopeless. With no hope of having food, no clothing, poor healthcare and no formal education, the project had no option but to seek the intervention of donors. We got a helping hand from GlobalGiving which gave a platform to reach many donors which were not known to us. This is how we met you. Life of these children has never remained the same with your donations. It is worth noting that the challenges facing these children have drastically reduced, the challenge now is how to maintaining the momentum, that is why we still need you most.
We have managed to keep these children in school, provide them with food and other basic needs within our reach. This has drastically changed the hope and aspirations of these children, they are happier, more focused and promising. Every year, we enroll between 8-10 children sitting for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education ( KCPE). This allows them to join middle level collages. This is a testimony within the slums where these children used to live in hopelessly with no one to turn to. As we continue to support these children in the year 2012, we still need you, your support is of more value to these orphans.
As the rainy seasons of April approaches, the weather will be cold, with mosquito bite, they will be prone to malaria. This can change with a donation of only $5. This will be enough to provide 1 child with a warm blanket, good enough to last for 1 year.

Finally, as our respected donor and one who has supported this project, or one considering supporting the project, we really value your comments, what is your take on our project?
