Inspiring Young Leaders Across Continents

By Mary Afolabi | OML Team Member

OMLAsia: Equipping Fellows for Social Impact

OML Asia Fellows recently completed the first phase of their program, focusing on social innovation and entrepreneurship. Through sessions with industry experts like Joachim Jake Layes, Savera Weerasinghe, Prasiddhi Singh, and Dr Jian Ming, Fellows explored design thinking, market development, and the power of social enterprises to address environmental and economic challenges.

OML-MENA Welcomes New Cohort

The OML-MENA Fellowship program has welcomed a diverse group of leaders from across the region, including Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, and more. These highly qualified individuals bring unique backgrounds and experiences, making them a powerful force for sustainable development and leadership in their communities.

OMLA Fellows' Leadership Challenge: Building a Network of Changemakers

OML Fellows in Africa are embarking on the transformative OMLA Fellows' Leadership Challenge. This initiative empowers Fellows to mentor and inspire young leaders within their communities. Fellows will build teams of 50 "Champions" and share their learnings through a simplified version of the OML curriculum. Additionally, Fellows and their Champions will participate in Masterclasses on critical sustainability topics.

OML Alumni Making a Difference

Three outstanding OML alumni were awarded grants through the Lynne Morguia Grant Opportunities. These grants support impactful projects like:

  • Tafadzwa Muzira's Climate Smart Agriculture Training (CSAT) Project empowering young farmers in Zimbabwe.
  • Kesandu Uchenyi's initiative provides nutritious meals to young people in Nigeria to support academic success.
  • Ejolle Lovert Epie's project establishes regenerative farming systems and provides financial support for returnees in communities affected by conflict and climate change.

Stay Connected

Join us in this critical mission to empower young leaders and build stronger communities worldwide. Regardless of size, every contribution brings us closer to achieving our shared vision.

Thank you for your time, generosity, and belief in young people's power to make a difference. Remember, your passion and dedication can make a real difference in the lives of young leaders and the communities they serve!
