Within the framework of the SEMILLAS project, we have maintained steady progress in our support and assistance efforts for pregnant and lactating mothers in vulnerable situations in Guayaquil. During the winter season, we strengthened our humanitarian response by delivering 60 essential kits to help mitigate the impact of heavy rains and adverse weather conditions on beneficiary households. This intervention provided timely support, prioritizing the protection and well-being of mothers and their children during a critical stage of development.
In addition, we continue the regular distribution of food kits to the families of 50 lactating women who are active participants in the project. These kits are designed to promote adequate and balanced nutrition, strengthening both maternal health and the comprehensive development of infants during their first months of life. This action aligns with our commitment to preventing chronic child malnutrition and fostering safer, healthier environments for early childhood.
These achievements reflect the ongoing dedication of the SEMILLAS team to ensuring comprehensive care, even in challenging social and climate-related contexts. We remain committed to sustaining nutritional and social support, reaffirming our mission to create a lasting and meaningful impact on the quality of life of mothers and their children in Guayaquil.
