This project guarantees the nutritious food of hundreds pregnant women and their babies, providing balanced nutrition and guaranteeing their prenatal check-ups, prenatal medicine and vitamins, in a comprehensive project to reduce the risk of chronic childhood malnutrition from conception.
Ecuador ranks 4th among the countries with the highest rate of chronic childhood malnutrition in the region. Chronic childhood malnutrition prevents the correct behavioral and cognitive development of children, affecting their learning capacity at school, limiting the abilities, skills and abilities that must be acquired in the first years of life, reducing the present and future opportunities of those they suffer from it. The project will reduce the risk of malnutrition by hundreds of children.
We provide nutritious food to hundreds women and their babies, in vulnerable situations, during the gestation period and up to the first 2 years of the child's life. In addition, we deliver a biweekly food kit for . We guarantee prenatal control through an alliance with the Network of Medical Dispensaries of the Archdioceses of Guayaquil.
The project will have a positive impact on the lives of hundreds women and their babies, reducing the risk of suffering from chronic childhood malnutrition. We ensure that these children have more and better academic and professional opportunities, which will benefit the socioeconomic growth of the community and prevent that, due to lack of opportunities, these children grow up to become involved in criminal acts, favoring the construction of a better society.
