Water Purification Project of One Foundation improves the drinking water environment in rural areas, promotes children's awareness and habit of safe drinking water, and enables them to obtain safe drinking water in schools.
In China, many of backward areas can not get qualified living water, lack of water purification ability and equipment. Especially in rural schools, the students even can not be supplied by safe, clean and enough drinking water, in the meanwhile, they are insufficient on the healthy and sanitation habit education which will affect their wellness and growth negatively in the lifetime.
Through providing water purification equipment, portable drinking bottle, water health training to schools in rural areas. At the same time, through the establishment of demonstration counties and provinces, the project promotes local governments and schools to pay attention to the safety of drinking water in campus for national width.
Water Purification Project of One Foundation was jointly launched by One Foundation and Coca Cola China in 2012. As of December 2020, 3864 water purification equipment (and special water cups) have been installed in 3525 rural schools in 28 provinces, which has helped more than 1.74 million children improve the quality of drinking water and enhance the sense of safe drinking water Knowledge.
