Donations will support containment efforts and services for affected communities in China. The fund will help meet needs for healthcare, foods, and counseling service in partnership with our nonprofit partners over 31 provinces in China. (Please note: GlobalGiving cannot accept donations originating from Mainland China in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administration of Activities of Overseas Nongovernmental Organizations.)
Containment and treatment of the virus is critical. Individuals, front-line medical responders, and our volunteers who help with the supply delivery in high-risk areas need supplies and continued support as the crisis unfolds.
Donations to this fund will support containment efforts and services for affected communities in China. The fund will help meet needs for healthcare, food, and counseling service in partnership with our nonprofit partners in 31 provinces in China. We will also transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in affected regions. We will monitor the outbreak and work with our partners on the ground to allocate funds where they're most needed.
We believe that organizations that are deeply rooted in local communities are in the best position to provide long-term support for survivors of outbreaks and other crises. By funding the relief efforts of local organizations, donations to this fund have the potential to build stronger response capacity so that these organizations are better equipped to face future outbreaks. One Foundation will post reports about how the fund will be used in frontline.
The Government of People’s Republic of China has implemented new regulations for foreign NGOs operating in China. GlobalGiving must receive Government approval before we can disburse funds to organizations registered in Mainland China. This means that the disbursement of your donation to this project may be slightly delayed while we obtain the appropriate approval.
