On June 3rd the volcano Fuego in Guatemala erupted killing several hundred people and displacing over 5,000 more.
The Integral Heart Family responded immediately arranging weekly support in the form of food, medicines, and personal hygiene products (and one deliver of toys for the children!) to 51 families who had been housed in a local school in the town of Alotenango in a safe location near the site of the volcano.
By the middle of August these families, and 90 other families had been relocated to a temporary housing location near the town.
By the rules of this new location and the authorities in charge we made our first delivery of dried food and other essential items as requested to all 141 families.
Below you will see photos of this delivery and photos of the young boys who also loved the empty boxes!
As always, the top comment from the families was; ‘Thank you for not forgetting us’.
We will continue to solicit donations and we hope to support these families through the end of the year.
Thank you so much for all your support,
Mick Quinn
