David Amos is the chairperson of the Five Unit Trust Group at Opportunity Tanzania’s Moshi Branch. David has a tailoring business in Moshi Town where he tailors both men’s and women’s fashion. His business is at the center of Moshi town and he has one employee who sews on the machine while David is responsible for cloth cuttings and sometimes machining.
As an Opportunity Tanzania member, he is in his second cycle and is requesting 750,000 to aide him in developing his business through renovating and purchasing new machines and adding some materials from wholesalers. Now, his customers can buy materials out of his office.
With the first loan he took from Opportunity Tanzania, he bought a new over-locking machine and clothing materials which help him to minimize the business operating costs. David appreciates the Opportunity Tanzania services, especially group organization and other services offered to increase his capability of taking and repaying the loan.
He hopes to hire three more employees and own his clothing shop for wholesale and retail. He dreams of owning a delivery van and a nice permanent and reputable house for his family, where his parents and kids will live comfortably.
