During this quarter, we conducted biofilter design visits with 10 families, during which we determined which graywater source they would like to treat and reuse.
These visits provided an assessment of their biofilter needs and adaptation possibilities, allowing us to calculate the required materials. The idea is for all beneficiary families to contribute to the construction of each family's biofilter, thus furthering the learning process.
The conversations held in the families' spaces also allowed them to identify the intended use of the recovered water, primarily for their fruit trees and ornamental plants. Family members were very excited to begin this process, as they have suffered from water shortages in recent years.
We were also able to identify the possibility of installing rainwater harvesting systems, although some already do so.
We believe we are on the right track, supporting families so that their present and future will be better in the face of the water crisis. And we appreciate the support of those who have donated to this project.
