Help 30 indigenous kids save the sea turtle in MEX

Dear friends who have supported this project of conservation of the marine fauna of Boca del Cielo, Chiapas, entitled "Support 30 indigenous children to save the sea turtle in Mexico": We sincerely thank you for your confidence to sow in the new generations a seed of conscience to take care of our mother earth. This report is the last one we do for this project. Below we list some of the activities carried out thanks to the support provided by the solidarity community through GlobalGiving.

• Collection of turtle eggs in Boca del Cielo and delivery to the authorities responsible for their protection in tortuguero camp
• Beach cleaning in which more than 10 large black trash bags were collected
• Production of an educational video of responsible consumption (7 R´s)
• 30 hours Workshops on environmental education, with themes related to climate change, nature conservation, school gardens, conscious food, among others.
• Acquisition of plants for the educational space of Chantiik and care for them

It should be noted that, although we conclude this project, the activities aimed at caring for the environment will continue in Chantiik, now aimed at a new more comprehensive project, which you will also find in this GlobalGiving platform, with the name "Tools for life for 30 young people in situations of vulnerability in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas ". On this occasion, in addition to the environmental issue, others such as children's rights, reproductive health, computation, English and mathematics, among others, are included.

Once again we sincerely thank you for the support provided for the care of nature and the benefit of the children and adolescents of Chantiik Taj Tajinkutik A.C. One of the main results was to verify how the cultural and natural horizons of the beneficiaries expanded when they first saw the sand and the waves of the sea. These types of experiences cannot be quantified numerically; However, expressions of surprise and smiles indicate what the beneficiaries involved accompanying the sea turtle conservation process, an endangered species. Any questions or comments regarding this project are pending.

We hope that this 2020 will be full of new adventures for everyone and that the actions aimed at caring for the planet will be stronger every day and have the participation of more people.
