Help teachers educate a mindful generation

Our team at Center for Creative Inquiry working on our “NowHere” project could not be more grateful for the structure and support of GlobalGiving and its donors. While we still have a ways to go in meeting our goal, we see the commitment in both our in-person and online community to promote our wish in developing an educational guidebook and educator's manual designed to equip educators with the insights and practical tools to bring Nowhere into classrooms.

Since posting our project, we have had a number of volunteers working to bring our vision to life as well as events sponsored by CCI to further bring attention to our GlobalGiving campaign. The director for CCI hosted a guided meditation practice inspired by one of the practices mentioned in NowHere. The event was a success in raising awareness and some donations towards our project.

We have our volunteers working on a variety of materials to make sure we develop a holistic, realistic, accessible, and enjoyable experience for not only students but teachers as well. Having some educators in our team, we have volunteers working on creating material which will act as video-guided meditations, using the language found in NowHere. We are also continuing to develop our teacher’s guide, with the intention of having a pilot program soon after completing to get feedback from educators in our area. We hope to collaborate with educators during this process to ensure a guide which has the positive and tangible impact we intend on.
