At least 150 homes have been destroyed and two people killed after more than 12 tornadoes passed through Northeast Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma on November 4th, 2022. With search and rescue missions and damage assessments still underway, your donation to the Texas and Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund will help people in impacted communities.
Two people are dead and at least a dozen are injured following a spree of tornadoes and severe storms that ripped through Northeast Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma. Your donation to this fund will provide emergency aid like food, water, medicine, and shelter in impacted communities. Once immediate needs are met, this fund will provide long-term assistance, with a focus on locally-led rebuilding.
All donations to this fund will support relief and recovery efforts in tornado-impacted communities across the two states. Initially, funds will help first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. The fund will later transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run primarily by local, vetted organizations in the communities affected in Texas and Oklahoma.

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.
We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.
They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
