as we see the war in Ukraine evolving for over half a year now, we get reminded every day about fragile peace and personal safety can be. Tolerance and mutual understanding, of each other, each others' needs - and each others' feelings, concerns and personal boundaries must form the core of our daily lives on both a personal and also a political or global level. Luigi Nono and Thomas Mann with their works not only wanted us to focus on the effects of fascism, but also on the importance of tolerance.
While we were abot slowed down over the summer months, we are working toward a release of the material and our new website, the design is almost ready, the content and details are still evolving.
The additional funding and donations we have received allow us to cover a part of the external work that is required, other pieces of work are continuously performed voluntarily, .
Thank you again!
We would like to say thank you for your continued support!
Especially in these troubled times where fears of a new world war are arising with the latest gruesome events happening in and around Ukraine, we get reminded how important it is to teach and stimulate everyone about our core values, such as the basic human rights, living on the same planet, in the same country and to understand and tolerate each other. The cruelty we witness - most of us luckily on TV screens only - should remind us how fragile peace really is and how important it is to keep working on reestablishing and maintaining it.
On a more local note, we are currently actively working on the renewed video material and documents and hope to be releasing the first batch on our renewed project website later this year. Lots of discussions have taken place about how to modernize the content and make it more accessible across the various devices. This work will take us som emore time - so please bear with us.
The additional funding and donations we have received allow us to cover a part of the external work that is required, other pieces of work are done voluntarily, taking a considerable amount of time.
Thank you again!
first of all, the people behind Fondazione L'Unione Europea Berlin would like to wish you a healthy and happy new year 2022!
We would like to say thank you for your continued support! Using the funds we received we have been working on sorting and organizing the video materials that we have collected over the many years. It is now in a shape that we can start working on editing the material to mdernize it and make it fit into the new website. The “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” initiative is also providing continuous support. We are happy to be able to use this opportunity, as it continues to show that education and tolerance remain highly important.
Your funding has given us the foundation to be able continue our efforts.
Thank you - and again - a Happy New Year!
many thanks for your continued support! We sincerely hope you and your families are healthy. Our geopolitical surroundings evolve and in some parts of the world keep changing significantly. The surprise for many - in Afghanistan - shows that understanding cultures, and how people think and live in their own environment, is sometimes hard to grasp from outside. It is so important to listen and understand.
Followning up on the “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” initiative that has thankfully granted us support, we are now working on modernizing our material to be presented in a updated and eaiser to access way. We are happy to have been given this opportunity, as it continues to show that education and tolerance remain highly imported. Your funding has given us the foundation to be able to participate in this initiative.
Thank you again!
many thanks for your continued support! While flowers start to blossom in Germany and the pandemic seems to be easing slightly in many parts of Europe and the US, we hope that you and your families are healthy.
We are happy to report that we were able to receive an additional funding promise by “Kulturstiftung der Länder” in the context of a funding project “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” that is targeted to help with digitalization efforts of cultural and educative institutions. We're relieved to see that projects like ours, which focuses on the importance of learning, tolerance and cultural understanding are seen as important also by representatives of the German government and associated institutions.
This funding, in addition to your donations, will help us to achieve this year’s targets for release the updated content for the Nono project. We will provide further updates about our efforts and hopefully be able to present results later in the year!
Please stay with us - and stay healthy!
