We would like to say thank you for your continued support!
Especially in these troubled times where fears of a new world war are arising with the latest gruesome events happening in and around Ukraine, we get reminded how important it is to teach and stimulate everyone about our core values, such as the basic human rights, living on the same planet, in the same country and to understand and tolerate each other. The cruelty we witness - most of us luckily on TV screens only - should remind us how fragile peace really is and how important it is to keep working on reestablishing and maintaining it.
On a more local note, we are currently actively working on the renewed video material and documents and hope to be releasing the first batch on our renewed project website later this year. Lots of discussions have taken place about how to modernize the content and make it more accessible across the various devices. This work will take us som emore time - so please bear with us.
The additional funding and donations we have received allow us to cover a part of the external work that is required, other pieces of work are done voluntarily, taking a considerable amount of time.
first of all, the people behind Fondazione L'Unione Europea Berlin would like to wish you a healthy and happy new year 2022!
We would like to say thank you for your continued support! Using the funds we received we have been working on sorting and organizing the video materials that we have collected over the many years. It is now in a shape that we can start working on editing the material to mdernize it and make it fit into the new website. The “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” initiative is also providing continuous support. We are happy to be able to use this opportunity, as it continues to show that education and tolerance remain highly important.
Your funding has given us the foundation to be able continue our efforts.
many thanks for your continued support! We sincerely hope you and your families are healthy. Our geopolitical surroundings evolve and in some parts of the world keep changing significantly. The surprise for many - in Afghanistan - shows that understanding cultures, and how people think and live in their own environment, is sometimes hard to grasp from outside. It is so important to listen and understand.
Followning up on the “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” initiative that has thankfully granted us support, we are now working on modernizing our material to be presented in a updated and eaiser to access way. We are happy to have been given this opportunity, as it continues to show that education and tolerance remain highly imported. Your funding has given us the foundation to be able to participate in this initiative.
many thanks for your continued support! While flowers start to blossom in Germany and the pandemic seems to be easing slightly in many parts of Europe and the US, we hope that you and your families are healthy.
We are happy to report that we were able to receive an additional funding promise by “Kulturstiftung der Länder” in the context of a funding project “KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN” that is targeted to help with digitalization efforts of cultural and educative institutions. We're relieved to see that projects like ours, which focuses on the importance of learning, tolerance and cultural understanding are seen as important also by representatives of the German government and associated institutions.
This funding, in addition to your donations, will help us to achieve this year’s targets for release the updated content for the Nono project. We will provide further updates about our efforts and hopefully be able to present results later in the year!
we are very thankful for your donations, messages and the thoughts and suggestions they contained and would like to send our best wishes for the year 2021!
Currently, we are still raising money to perform the work we have planned to do that will allow us to release a modernized way of sharing the content of the Nono project.
We are certain that this will provide easier access to the movie and the educational material associated with it, however this requires a lot of effort and creativity. As there is a lot of material, we are still in the process of sorting and organizing things and will then see where the materials will fit into the envisioned scope.
Apart from all the Covid news, the new year started with a number of troublesome events, especially in the US around the White House and Capitol buildings.
As you might know, the Nono project is more Europe-focused - especially because of the historic material we use. We can unfortunately see similar lines of ignorance and narcism in some groups of people across numerous European countries as well. Hence, we believe it is crucial to keep reminding people of the common values our society is build upon - which is not selfishness and striving to gain ultimate power with no regrets, but to apply tolerance, obey human rights and think about what is good for society in general.
