Dear supporter,
We are facing challenging times, and we are in this together. Unfortunately, the children we support are suffering most from this pandemic.
The majority of the children we support live in rural areas, come from economically deprived environments, with very little to rely on. They have been under tremendous pshychological pressure and we are continuously working our way through it with them.
Romania is still under constant pressure, with the number of cases on the rise. We are all still under a cloud of uncertainty for the future and these children suffer the most.
Currently, we have shifted our efforts into equipping our children with the neccessary digital tools to continue their education online.
We are now looking at the new school year starting on the 14th September, hopefully by then the number of cases will drop. Every town/city will decide how school will be conducted, depending on the number of cases at the time. The options available at the moment are: in shifts, reducing the number of students in one classroom at a time or part school/part online.
The main challenge at the moment for us is keeping a balance for these children, keeping them on track and motivated; and getting them ready for the eventuality of online education.
Therefore, we ask for your support one more time - to help us get them ready for school.
