Thanks to the support of three individual donors and a donation through GlobalGiving, Fundación Leer has concluded the “Open Book Project” Program in Misiones!
The Reading Corners were built at an indigenous rural school located in 9 de Julio, Misiones, Argentina, benefiting at 154 risk children and their families. These vulnerable families have poor access to health/educational services and literacy materials.
Fundación Leer also trained 6 local teachers to effectively promote literacy among kids in the facility. 400 new children’s books were bought and a Reading Corner assembled, bringing children closer to books and motivating them to read.
Fundacion Leer would like to thank you for your donation on behalf of the whole school community of 9 de Julio, Misiones!!
And thank you again for believing in our project!
Best regards,
The Fundación Leer Team
