Education should be the master strategy for poverty eradication. In literacy, everything begins with reading: first learn to read and then learn for a lifetime. The practice of reading favors the development of attention, observation, analysis and reflection. In addition, reading improves life quality, raises productivity and citizen values.
The international test of quality PISA 2012 in reading, located Argentina in the post number 61 of a total of 65 countries assessed. More than 50% of students evaluated do not understand what they read. (OCDE. 2012) The sustained reading of literary texts is a priority objective for the education of children and young people. The daily reading for pleasure is associated with a better performance in schools and to a domain of the reading for the whole life.
