Access to books, reading habits, reading comprehension, critical thinking, reasoning ability, and analysis are key aspects that we cannot give ourselves the luxury of neglecting. The training of who encourages reading habits and reading competency in our children are critical aspects in order to achieve change.
This program is intended to contribute to solving the following problems:
- The scarcity of spaces and materials that promote reading and literacy in many of our educational institutions, above all those that are situated in vulnerable communities.
- The lack of knowledge, tools, and necessary innovative tactics so that educators can conduct a successful reading and literacy promotion process.
- The grand majority of the children that pertain to low resource communities do not have the necessary stimuli in their early childhood to develop their language and the reading-writing process.
All of these shortages can worsen the literacy process for children if they are not attended to on time, generating serious learning problems that are reflected in school performance.
We need your support to make this project alive for children in Chicoana.
