Challenge

Challenge The stagnation of the underdeveloped countries like Nepal contributed to a steady increase in the effects of neglect, abandonment, alcoholism and poverty on unfortunate children. Electricity is rationed to two 4 hour periods a day, clean water in Kathmandu is a problem and the cost of rice, sugar and other food staples have increased steadily, magnifying many socio-economic situations.

Solution

Solution This project will continue to help meet the day to day necessities of two hundred fifty children in six orphanages and hostels. We will expand this program to provide medical supplies, clothing, shoes, gas cylinders, books and teaching supplies, rice and lentils, and modest sports equipment to other impoverished children.

Long-Term Impact

Long Term Impact These homes are a refuge. The children are provided for in a country where there is so much poverty, uncertainty and concern about the future. They are safe to grow up in an environment of care and learning.
