It is with the help of Coffee Village Coalition, our ground partner, that we were able to distribute blankets and winter caps to 511 elders 60 years old or above, and 174 pregnant & lactating women.
Imagine, for just 1 minute, what it would be like to spend a cold winter night under a tarp or in a breezy shelter. Now imagine yourself with a warm blanket that was provided by a stranger. That warmth and love is felt is by both the giver and the receiver. Thank you for helping 685 people survive the cold winter nights. Thank You!
As winter ends our development works in Naya Gaon, Kavre will continue with refilling eroded earth at 5 school locations, providing clean water acess, and solar lighting for schools
From our experience in the village these past nine months, we have learnt it is more appreciated by the villagers and, in turn, gratifying to us if we focus on projects benefitting the village community as a whole rather than individuals or groups. Our on-going work to improve the schools benefits the community and helps to build trust and cooperation.
