Children on candidate classes report back
By James Malinga | Project leader
Hi once again,it has been a while since the last report, six months down the road the children could not attend school, but thanks to God that now at least some of them are reporting back to school, only kids on final year classes have started reporting back to school to study for their final year, the little kids are required to report to school with hand sanitizers, soap, face masks and other covid prevention materials, most of these can not afford these items, this project will continue helping such children to get the items so they can report back to school, although most of the guardians lost their jobs following the recent lock down, they will now be able to be helped.
Thank you once again for your help in this

Considering giving children an education amidst Covid 19 pandemic
By James Malinga | Project leader
Hi
Thanks for your support towards Mountains of Hope programmes, this particular project wouldnt have supported childrens education had it not been because of you, however due to the out break of the corona pandemic, a total lock down was declared in Uganda and schools were closed down before the end of the first term, children are at home and the government of Uganda is making arrangements to have children learn at home using radios and television sets but most families do not have acess to such gadgets as rural areas do not have access to electricity.
The total number of Covid 19 cases in Uganda as of today stands at 741, 486 recoveries and no deaths, every other day, the numbers keep increasing especially from the truck drivers that carry cargo across boarders, the truck drivers infect Ugandan contacts hence increased community infections, the government of Uganda is most likely not to open schools now, there are local educational institutions which offer study material at a cost so that chidren keep studying even while at home, this project is cosidering taking that direction so that children are not left behind especially those that donot have radios, smart phones or television sets in their homes, this project has planned $30 per child to access self study materials to enable them continue schooling even when at home, at the moment this project is enabling 10 vulnerable children access quality education that they deserve.
We will be happy if you considered giving a child an education even amidst the corona pandemic, $30 per hild for 10 children.

By James Malinga | Project leader
Hi
Thanks for your continued support to the little kids in Uganda, your money is enabling 10 needy children attend primary school regularly. The children are enabled to buy books, and other scholastic materials to enable them continue attending school.
The new school term has begun and children are back for school, while at school, these children are provided with a morning tea and lunch to enable them concentrate in class, children are also provided new school uniforms and shoes for school, we provide the school with water purifiers to enable all children in that school to drink clean and safe water.
Your monthly sponsorship money will continue providing children in Uganda with a better education untill they complete studies. Several other children who were under this programme a few years back have completed their education, Joseph and Evelyn graduated with university degrees, last year, 10 girls and 5 boys whom we connected to the local artisans for training have also graduated with certificates and are now self employed.
