AGF just got back from another trip to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. We are excited to have enrolled two new women and formed strong connections with members of the community. The BabyFace program on the reservation also reached out to us with 12 women interested, who we will begin to work with in the fall. Our initial meeting was unfortunately canceled due to a day of mourning for the death of Chief Oliver Red Cloud, the last recognized Oglala Lakota Tribal Civil Chief. AGF is grateful not only to be working with these women but also for the beautiful new products we have added to the Pine Ridge collection. We have finalized our gorgeous leather Winds of Change rings and bold Lakota Beaded Wraps that are both available for purchase on our online store.
The proceeds of these, like all of our other items, along with the donations on GlobalGiving will be reinvested right back towards these women and their community. We are thrilled to have established new relationships within the community, finalized new products, and look forward to our goal of employing 20 more women on the reservation!
