Palm Institute in collaboration Pennsylvania State University organized an intensive 2 Week Course on Business Strategy - from 5th through 16th August, 2019 sponsored by Capsim.
The course was aimed at assisting participants to create and develop strategic plans and solutions for their businesses. This course was designed to build capacities of young entrepreneurs in Ghana equipping them with the tools they need to create and run their own businesses.
Capsim, a global leader in business simulation technology and services design company gave access to their business simulation software in support of the 2 Week seminar. The simulation software gave participants the opportunity to have a hands-on experience during the course giving participants a holistic view of what happens in business ranging from sales, marketing, policy formulation, research & development etc. Participants were awarded certificate for completing the course successfully.
Palm Alumni Awarded Best District Financial Secretary and Best Service Personnel
Congratulations to Mr. Abraham Tettey (left), Class of 18', alumnus and last year's valedictorian. He picked up the award for the Best District Financial Secretary and Best Service Personnel in the whole of the Eastern Region of Ghana. He was outstanding among his cohort of Service Personnel due to his diligence and strong sense of urgency in his daily approach to work. His expertise in accounting enabled him to contest for the position of Financial Secretary in the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region of Ghana for the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA), which he won via election. He was then appointed as the Eastern Regional Audit Committee Chairman of NASPA, due to his professionalism and involvement in regional activities.
