Hands of Mercy is a charitable organization whose major objective is to give care and support to senior citizens and their orphaned grand children. This includes Mental Health.
A community with a sound Mental Health is a productive community and the nation at large.
Hands of Mercy had recieved sewing Machines from Bank of Zambia in August. We began training 20 youths to learn a skill in tailoring in September, 2023. Out of 20, 6 have fallen off due to addiction of drugs and alcohol abuse. 14 have remained and are eager to finish the 6 months course.
Our goal is to empower 40 youths with Tailoring skills and eventually help them reduce their drug intake.
CHALLENGES
SUMMARY
Hands of Mercy would work better with intended finances available. We shall continue to curb these activities in our community.
