Last week, Musicians for the World officially ended its spring semester. Throughout this semester, we offered weekly masterclasses for violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, clarinet, flute, and composition. This program included the participation of over 200 students from 14 different countries. Out of these 200 or so students, the most talented, advanced, and dedicated were selected to participate in our Masterclass Series. Our Masterclass Series program welcomes some of the world’s most renowned musicians and pedagogues to join us, acting as visiting artists/professors to MFW students. Each artists works with 3-4 students in a large, masterclass setting where every student in attendance can benefit from their knowledge. This semester, we were honored to welcome visiting artist and pianist Mikhail Berestnev, violinist Nathan Olson (Assistant Concertmaster for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra), flutist Antonina Styczen, and bass player Susan Hagen work with some of the most advanced students from our program.
In addition to working with these young, aspiring students, we have also been empowering music teachers through our new and improved Teacher Trainning Certificate Program. We are proud to say that 52 teachers completed this program successfully this semester and will be certified at the end of this month! Each teacher attended 7 seminars with some of the most world renowned pedagogues in the music industry (list of professors: https://www.musiciansfortheworld.org/education-for-teachers). Thank you all for your generous support. If not for you, we would not be able to create the large impact we are today. We vow to push forward with our mission continually and inspire as many musicians as possible across the globe.
