Educative lyrics, beautiful melodies and entertaining dance moves was all over TV and radio stations in several towns in Cameroon as they continuously played songs from the environmental music album.
After the boot camp, the Camer Green team embarked on a media tour with the Camer Green ambassadors to promote the Green Music album and spread environmental best practices far and wide. The team appeared on talk shows with media stations in several regions in Cameroon between the months of November 2017 and January 2018. The 10 finalists were given the opportunity to share with the public the messages they were passing on to the population in their songs. The team visited Canal 2 in Douala, Cam 1 TV Limbe, CRTV Yaounde, Hi TV Buea, Media Afrique radio.
The Camer Green ambassadors called on the general public to take action in keeping a green environment through simple day to day practices like proper waste disposal, turning off electrical appliences when not in use and even advocating for environmental best practices. The contestants also performed their songs alongside the theme song live on the media.
This media sensitization campaign got more individuals considering taking action for a better world. Contributions came in through text messages during the show, applauding the initiative of getting young artists engaging in the fight for a better planet, with promises to adopt sustainable lifestyles as well.
