Treatment for 74 children with Muscular Dystrophy

As always it is a pleasure to greet you, on this eighth occasion we share all our achievements again, we thank all our donors who constantly join our noble cause through the GLOBAL GIVING platform, since their contributions are of crucial help to continue providing our children and young people with DUCHENNE and BECKER with a comprehensive treatment service to address their condition.

The donations received corresponding to the months of January - April 2024 were used to provide Physical and Pulmonary Therapies to our Beneficiaries, as part of their medical treatment indicated by our team of doctors.

Physical Physiotherapy: As a treatment for neuromuscular disorders, it helps maintain and increase, to the extent possible, the child's current level of function and mobility. Its main purposes are: Provide a physical assessment, Minimize the development of contractures, maintain muscle strength and Provide patient mobility and functionality. Respiratory Physiotherapy: In patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy it is essential from a very young age, and its primary function is: Helping the expulsion of secretions from the respiratory tree, avoiding bronchial obstruction which leads to secondary infections.

Your contributions are of crucial help to continue providing our children and young people with DUCHENNE and BECKER with a comprehensive treatment service to address their condition.
