NINTH PROJECT DONATION REPORT: TREATMENT FOR 74 CHILDREN WITH MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY.
It is always a pleasure to greet you, on this ninth occasion we share all our achievements with you again, we thank all our donors who constantly join our noble cause through the GLOBAL GIVING platform, since their contributions are of crucial help to continue providing to our children and young people with DUCHENNE and BECKER a comprehensive treatment service to address their condition.
The donations received corresponding to the months of May - July 2024 were used to continue providing Physical and Pulmonary Therapies to our Beneficiaries, as part of their medical treatment indicated by our team of doctors.
Physical Therapies: As a treatment for neuromuscular disorders, it helps to maintain and increase, to the extent possible, the child's current level of function and mobility. Its main purposes are: Provide a physical assessment, Minimize the development of contractures, maintain muscle strength and Provide patient mobility and functionality. Pulmonary Physiotherapies: In patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy it is essential from a young age, and its primary function is: Help the expulsion of secretions from the respiratory tree, avoid bronchial obstruction which leads to secondary infections.
