This year our local partner in Paramaribo has provided weekly dance and sports classes for the youth of Sunny Point on our request. Every week we rent busses to bring the children from Sunny Point to the neighborhood Latour so the children have access to these activities without costs.
In September 2024 we like to organize a summer intensive week together with our local partner. If enough money will be raised by that time through grants and this platform. This intensive week will be filled with dance, music and sports but also the children will learn new professional skills to develop themselves and create a financial future for themselves and their family. The economic situation in Suriname is very challenging, therefore the young generation needs to find ways to earn money to pay for basic needs.
