Move Abandoned Children into Adoption in India

Till now CSA has found 150 families for homeless children. These are direct placement through CSA but there were many families who got inspired through various promotional activities run by CSA and inspired to adopt children, we refer this as indirect placements. Adoption process requires some documents, and  govt. and judicial system to complete and make it legal.

Sometime families get de-motivated with this lengthy process and give up the option of legal adoption and move to find some other alternatives. This is leading to large number of illegal adoptions. Therefore to promote legal adoptions and to set forth the example for those who adopted the kids successfully through legal process, CSA organized a family get together of such families.

We invited families from Pune to Abhiruchi –a resort place where children enjoyed the magic show, Puppet show along with swings and slides, whereas the parents got the opportunity to mingle with each other and to share their experiences. Every one enjoyed the lunch together. CSA team was filled with the joy and happiness to see the kids placed in these families were so nicely mixed that no one can guess they are not born to them. I would like to explain this by stating the words of one of the family that “My child is born from my heart!!!! “

Hi! :)  It's a great pleasure to get in touch with you all. Here I am presenting you the story of two lives which underwent major changes because of CSA. Ragini was a small girl of 3yrs. When she was infant baby, her mother had given her up to adoption agency. Many parents were adopting children from this adoption agency, so everytime when visitors used to come and visit adoption agency she used to get excited as if this time it was her turn.

One day her turn came; a single lady approached me saying that she wants to adopt a girl child no matter what. I asked her what if a marriage proposal comes to her after taking baby for adoption? She said her future husband will have to except both of them otherwise she will prefer to stay alone. Looking at her firm decesion I refer her for Ragini and here is what she wants to say in her own wards.

"2nd of July 2010, my life changed. I became a mother of a lovely 3 year girl child. Her name is

Shradha as she is the answer to my prayers to Shri Saibaba of Shirdi. Shradha is cute, talkative

and full of love. It is such a nice feeling to feel wanted and constantly called Mama, whatever

happens her Mom is the best and she loves her very much.                             

In the initial stages, the very idea of a single mother was outrageous to my family, I was very

focused and determined to adopt a girl child. Today, Shradha is much loved by all members of

the family and their undaunted support is helping me to balance my responsibilities as a mother

and a provider.

Shradha started with her nursery school in August 2010. She is intelligent and picked up her

studies well, stood third in the class and now she has obtained admission on her merits in GG

International School, one of the prestigious schools in Pune. Shradha is an extrovert and loves

to make friends with one and all. She is the darling of the society and loved by all who know

her. Her lovely eyes, outstretched arms and the cute, mischievous smile makes her adorable and

irresistible. She loves to play in the garden, go to school, day-care and the love she radiates for

everyone is something to be seen to be believed. She loves animals, birds and her good friend

is the neighbor’s Alsatian called Jordon.

I am truly privileged and blessed to have Shradha as my daughter and pray to God to give me

the wisdom to bring her up with all the right values in life"
